Ring Size Guide

Ring Size Tips

Before selecting your dream ring, consider these tips to help find your ring size.

Your dominant hand is usually a bit larger, so start by measuring the hand where you’ll wear your ring.

Keep the design in mind — wider bands tend to feel tighter, so we recommend going up half a size for chunky styles (over 4 mm) and slightly down for delicate bands (under 1.3 mm). Ring sizes are measured in millimeters (mm) for precision.

Make sure your hands are at a normal temperature when measuring — cold fingers shrink and warm fingers expand. The best time to measure is later in the day, when your hands are at their most natural size.

If your knuckles are more prominent, measure both the base of your finger and the knuckle, then choose a size between the two. This helps your ring glide on easily while fitting comfortably once worn.

How to Find Your Perfect Ring Size at Home

Finding the right ring size ensures your jewelry fits beautifully and comfortably. Follow these easy steps to measure accurately at home.

2. Measure with a String or Paper Strip

  • Cut a thin strip of paper or use a soft string.
  • Wrap it snugly (not tightly) around the base of your finger.
  • Mark where the ends meet.
  • Measure the length in millimeters.
  • Compare your measurement to a ring size chart to find your exact size.

3. Measure at the Right Time

Your fingers slightly change size throughout the day. For best accuracy:

  • Measure at room temperature.
  • Take measurements at the end of the day, when your fingers are at their largest.

4. Consider the Ring Style

Ring design can affect fit:

  • Wide bands (4mm+): go up half a size.
  • Thin bands (<1.5mm): go down half a size.
  • Comfort-fit rings feel looser than flat-fit designs.

5. Use an Existing Ring

If you already own a ring that fits perfectly:

  • Measure its inside diameter in millimeters.
  • Match it with a ring size conversion chart to find your size.

6. When in Doubt, Size Up

A slightly loose ring is always more comfortable—and easier to resize—than one that’s too tight.

Pro Tip

If you’re planning a surprise, borrow one of your partner’s rings (worn on the same finger) and ask your jeweler to measure it discreetly.
